CoVid-19 Update

We are OPEN again for STUDIO CLASSES

In-studio classes have resumed as we are able to practise social distancing. Classes numbers are strictly limited to ensure we meet the current health directives. We provide hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes in the studio to help protect us all from Coronavirus.

Class Schedule

Workshops are held in my private studio at Underwood in Brisbane (address supplied upon booking confirmation). Workshop runs from 2pm-6pm.

Next Class

  • 2022 Classes TBA

Can't wait for the next class to be announced? Then email me with your preferred date and time and we'll organise it.

Private one-on-one resin workshops are also available. These are ideal if what you want to learn is not covered in my regular workshops or if you want to learn how to resin in a more private setting. Additional fees apply to private workshops. Please email me to make arrangements.

What's covered in the course:

In this 4 hour workshop you'll be working with a quick curing polyurethane resin and a slow curing epoxy resin. We'll cover:

  • safety and preparation tips
  • an explanation of the different types of resins you'll be using
  • the nuances of each resin
  • how to measure, mix, colour and pour
  • how to marble resin as well as how to colour resin after it's cured; and
  • finishing techniques for your platters and bowls.

What you'll make:

You'll cast 3 pieces: a trinket bowl, a platter and a votive holder. The polyurethane trinket bowl and votive holder will be demoulded and completed in class. The epoxy platter will take 24 hours to cure and will not be ready for demoulding until the next day.

What instruction you'll receive:

Classes are restricted in size and are structured so you receive individual instruction and you will leave the workshop confident that you can continue casting on your own at home.

What to bring:

A long sleeved shirt. Everything else is provided.

Additional Information:

Pieces poured with slow curing resin will take 24 hours to cure and will need to be collected after the workshop. If this is not convenient, arrangements can be made to post them to you.
